This 2-day tour allows you to explore the best of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
On the first day, you’ll depart for the Sacred Valley to visit the agricultural terraces and artisan market of Pisac, followed by a tour of the impressive fortress and temples of Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon, you’ll board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), where you’ll spend the night.
On the second day, you’ll board a bus early in the morning to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour to explore its temples, plazas, and terraces. Afterward, you’ll have free time to continue exploring before returning by train to Ollantaytambo and continuing by bus to Cusco, arriving in the evening. This trip combines history, culture, and unforgettable landscapes in two intense days.
ITINERARY
DAY 01: EXCURSION TO THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
Start: 07.30 a.m. / End: 06.30 p.m. – Connection to Machu Picchu
This excursion offers a visit to the main attractions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It includes the exploration of the agricultural terraces of Pisac and the local artisan market. Then, we will enjoy a buffet lunch in the town of Urubamba. Later, we will visit the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo.
Finally, we will take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) from the Ollantaytambo train station. This excursion allows you to appreciate the history, culture and impressive landscapes of the Sacred Valley.
In Aguas Calientes, reception at the train station, transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 02: MACHU PICCHU TOUR
Start: 07.00 a.m. / End: 10.00 p.m.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take the bus that will take us to the entrance of the citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will enjoy the guided tour according to the chosen tour circuit. We will have a short time to take pictures before returning by bus to Aguas Calientes. Finally, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by the bus transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
The return time to Cusco is subject to train availability.
